Whether it’s a glitter finish on nails, a hot towel during a haircut, or a soothing scalp massage, add-ons give your customers more control over their experience while helping you increase your average booking value.

In salon life, small upgrades add up—think a glitter finish on nails, a hot towel during a cut, or a soothing scalp massage. With Wix Bookings add-ons, you can present those upgrades right on your online booking page, turning every appointment into a personalized experience and a higher ticket.
Quick note: The email at the end of this post is a real example you can send your "salon" clients (tweak it for other businesses) to announce add-ons and guide them to book. Use it as a template in your email marketing or CRM.
What Wix Bookings add-ons do (and why they’re great)
Upsell at checkout: Clients choose extras while booking—no awkward in-chair pitch.
Transparent pricing & timing: For appointments, add-ons can adjust price and (when enabled) extend duration so clients know exactly what to expect.
Flexible groups: Organize add-ons in themed groups under each service for a cleaner web design and easier choices.
Reusable items: Create an add-on once (e.g., “Deep Conditioning”) and reuse it across services.
Important guardrails
Appointments: Up to 3 add-on groups per service; 7 add-ons max in each group.
Courses & classes: 1 group only; these add-ons cannot add time.
Not supported: Free services or services bookable only with a pricing plan.
Step-by-step: Set up salon add-ons
Open Booking Services in your Wix dashboard.
Pick your service – Create a new service or edit an existing one.
Find the Add-ons section and click Get Started if it’s your first time.
Create a group – Name it, describe it, and choose add-ons.
Add items – Build new add-ons or select existing ones. Set price, time (if applicable), and quantity.
Set limits – Choose the max add-ons per service or no limit.
Save your changes.
